Personal Work

Character Design: Developing the visual style and personality of each character.
Character Rigging: Building rigs that allow for a wide range of expressive and responsive movements.
Animation: Creating the animations that bring the characters to life and respond to user interaction.

This project is a personal exploration into the interactive and dynamic possibilities of character animation using Rive. It's a collection of experiments showcasing my ability to design, animate, and bring characters to life within a real-time environment.

The Challenge:

The challenge was to push the boundaries of character animation beyond traditional linear formats and explore how animation can be used to create engaging and interactive experiences. I wanted to create characters that respond to user input and feel truly alive.

The Solution:

I designed and animated a series of characters specifically within Rive to leverage its capabilities for real-time interactivity. This involved character design and rigging. The result is a set of dynamic character explorations that demonstrate the potential for interactive storytelling.

A Peek Behind the Pixels.

These Rive explorations were a deep dive into real-time character interaction. The process involved:
Iterating on character designs directly within Rive,Developing animation state machines for interactive responses, Fine-tuning animation curves for a snappy feel.

I focused on creating animations that were both visually appealing and technically robust for interactive use.

For these projects i used Illustrator, and Rive.
